Be Productive With What Matters

In our ever-increasing craving for feeling productive, a lot of systems don’t set you up for success.

They keep you focused on everything else but what truly matters in your life. What’s the point of checking off a never-ending to-do list of things that don’t matter?

You have probably met a ton of people in your life that seem to have it together, but they avoid doing the tasks that truly matter and would change their lives.

Maybe you want to pursue a new career, but you keep putting off the work you need to do to make it happen.

That’s my personal problem with a lot of productivity apps/notebooks/systems: they keep you focused on the non-essential parts of your life, giving you the illusion of being productive without actually changing anything you want to change.

What do you want to accomplish in your life?
What truly matters to your growth?
At this point in your life, what matters the most to you?

These are all deeper questions that an app can’t simply solve, but once you do have that answer, there’s a lot of ways you can manage it all without overwhelming yourself.

However, it doesn’t work in reverse. No productivity system in the world can help you discover what your soul is calling you to do. That’s why we struggle with the systems: because we’re unsure of what we want or we don’t want to admit it to ourselves.
